Once Upon A Night

How brilliant of the stars and the moon,
To refuse to be captured by an ordinary lens,
But only to be watched in awe,
Felt still, with every breath, taking in a millionth of their greatness,

For the little kid, sitting in the back of her parent’s car,
The moon is her own toy, attached to her with a string she draws with her eyes,
Following each other as she reaches home,

The stars, the fiction and non-fiction mysterious objects
Why are they placed in the way they are?
Is it science or a mere coincidence or just a play of nature to watch it’s creatures fathom

Orion, the head of Taurus the bull, why do you have to taunt the lil girl by being so out of her reach?
Why can’t she just step on a ladder and play with you?

Why am i trying to be a poet when i clearly am not?
Well who said this is to be a poem and not just a woeful tale of a lil girl

Just a person who’s trying to figure out life and people, one day at a time.
